ADOPT A BEEHIVE

PRODUCE YOUR VERY OWN SARDINIAN HONEY

Sardinian honey is renowned for its uniqueness and quality. This is due to the bees' ability to gather nectar from the flowers of the Mediterranean flora, which flourishes in unspoilt surroundings.

The strawberry tree, asphodel, eucalyptus and lavender are the main plants that give Sardinian honey its unique flavour and aroma.

By adopting a hive, you will become a co-producer and your hive will be marked with a plaque with your name written on it.

Thanks to the updates and information you will receive on a regular basis over the course of the year, you will discover and learn about the entire journey required to produce a jar of Sardinian honey from start to finish.

And remember, you can also come and visit and see for yourself your own little piece of Sardinia (dates to be agreed upon in advance with the producer).

When the timing is right, our beekeeper will send you the best products from your beehive. You will be able to savour and appreciate them for breakfast or as a snack, with milk or tea, or discover how tasty they are when paired with mature cheeses and ricotta.

But more importantly, the honey will taste even more special to you because of the beekeeping knowledge you will have gained and the fact that you will have followed the production process every step of the way right from the beginning.

BEEHIVE ADOPTION FEATURES

The Mannos adoption can be done at any time. It lasts for one year, during which you will receive updates on the main production phases. 

These updates are provided as they take place and you will receive them from the moment you decide to adopt your hive, so they may not necessarily be in their natural order. This allows you to live an authentic adoption experience that follows the seasonality of the production process.

The beehive products will be sent to you at the most suitable time, depending on the period in which you adopt your hive.

If you adopt between January and July, you will receive your products in October of the same year.
If you adopt between August and December, you will receive them in October of the following year.

YOUR ADOPTION PACKAGE CONTENTS:

• 4 jars of 500g of honey of the varieties produced by your hive according to the blossom
• 1 jar of 50g of strawberry tree honey (bitter honey) or 1 jar of 125g of abbamele (traditional Sardinian honey decoction) depending on the season
• 1 jar of 125g of pollen
• A gift symbolising your adoption
