Grains have been the staple food of our diet for thousands of years. But, nowadays, do you know the true origins of the grains you eat?
In the Mandrolisai region, right in the centre of Sardinia, there is a small area where quality grains are being cultivated.
Francesca, the Mannos miller, and her father Mauro, the farmer, cultivate and process the best grains to produce flour, bread, pasta and biscuits in which you can taste all the flavour of nature and homemade delights.
By adopting a wheat field, you will become a co-producer and your field will be marked with a plaque with your name written on it.
Thanks to the updates and information you will receive on a regular basis, over the course of the year you will discover and learn about all the most important moments of this amazing traditional craft, right up to the actual making of the flour.
And remember, you can also come and visit and see for yourself your own little piece of Sardinia (dates to be agreed upon in advance with the producer).
When the time is right, our miller will send you your stock of Sardinian flour, bread and pasta. Use your culinary fantasy to use put them to good use in your own recipes and savour them with pride.
But most importantly, the dishes will taste even more special to you because of the knowledge you will have gained and the fact that you will have followed the grain production process every step of the way right from the beginning.

The Mannos adoption can be done at any time. It lasts for one year, during which you will receive updates on the main production phases.
These updates are provided as they take place and you will receive them from the moment you decide to adopt your field of wheat, so they may not necessarily be in their natural order. This allows you to live an authentic adoption experience that follows the seasonality of the production process.
The adoption products will be sent to you at the most suitable time, depending on the period in which you adopt your wheat field.
If you adopt between January and July, you will receive your products in November of the same year.
If you adopt between August and December, you will receive them in November of the following year.

- Adoption certificate
- 5kg of flour (common wheat and durum wheat flour)
- 4kg of typical Sardinian pasta including malloreddus, fregula, caserecce and pennette
- 1 pack of typical Sardinian flatbread (pistoccu)
- A gift symbolising your adoption

Francesca is a young woman who has chosen to dedicate herself to her passion for milling, following in the footsteps of her father Mauro, who cultivates the family wheat fields, providing her with the raw material she needs for her creations. She likes to experiment with new flour mixes to give the traditional Sardinian pasta and breads an ever fresh and sought-after taste.
