Enjoy an experience with the miller and the baker in Sorgono
Would you like to immerse yourself in a cloud of white and admire the grinding of grains in a beautiful stone mill?
Here, only the grains grown by Francesca and Mauro in Mandrolisai are transformed, in a completely natural way, without the use of herbicides, pesticides or chemical fertilisers.
A choice which is not an easy one from a production point of view but a fundamental one for the protection of our health and that of our planet.
During the milling process, the differences between the various grains will be clearly explained and you will be able to take part in their grinding and understand how the mill works.
The differences between wholemeal, semi-wholemeal and non-wholemeal flours will be discussed in detail, giving you the chance to fully immerse yourself in a unique sensory experience involving touch, taste and smell.
The experience will then continue in a bakery in the centre of the town of Sorgono where you will get your hands dirty with the freshly ground flours as Marianna guides you in the preparation of pasta, bread or traditional sweet treats.
In addition to the busy hands-on moments, there will also be moments of sharing during the 'S'imurgiu' or breaktime with tastings of the company's products as well as other local products.

WHERE THE EXPERIENCE TAKES PLACE
The Miller Experience takes place in Sorgono, a village in the heart of Sardinia, located in the historical region of Mandrolisai. Sorgono is about 143 km from Cagliari, 152 km from Olbia and 167 km from Alghero.
Within short distance, you can also participate at the Sardinian Winemaking Experience, the Winemaker for a Day Experience and the Sardinian Grape Harvesting Experience.

The miller and the farmer: Francesca and Mauro
Sorgono
Francesca is a young woman who has chosen to dedicate herself to her passion for milling, following in the footsteps of her father Mauro, who cultivates the family wheat fields, providing her with the raw material she needs for her creations. She likes to experiment with new flour mixes to give the traditional Sardinian pasta and breads an ever fresh and sought-after taste.
